Hey y’all, it’s Frozensword here bringing you the final results of the Halo 2: Anniversary Pax Prime Showdown tournament. If you don’t know the results of Round 1, check it out here. We will be going through the Loser’s Bracket Round 1 and Winner’s Bracket Round 2 all the way to the end. Now let’s get it started!
Winner’s Bracket Round 2
Here were the games for the Winner’s Bracket Round 2. Game 1 would be Sanctuary Team Slayer. Game 2 would be Sanctuary Capture the Flag. Game 3 would be Lockout King of the Hill. Game 4 would be Ascension Team Slayer. Game 5 would be Lockout Team Slayer.
While I did tell what happened with the first part of the first match of the Winner’s Bracket Round 2 in the last article, I will finish its story real quick. VwS won Game 1. Game 2 would be restarted due to technical difficulties although Chalkie still got an amazing overkill with the sniper rifle at the beginning. In the replay of Game 2, TCM would win in an amazing match. TCM was winning Game 3, but it also ended due to technical difficulties. 343 and ESL would decide to give up trying to stream it, and the match would be finished off stream. VwS won against TCM 3-1.
The second match of Round 2 would see Excellence face off against Triggers Down. Triggers Down would go on to win Game 1 and Game 2. Excellence would win Game 3 in an amazing match, but it would be restarted due to technical difficulties. Excellence would win Game 3 again and would go on to win Game 4 and Game 5 to go 3-2 or really 4-2.
Loser’s Bracket Round 1
The Loser’s Bracket Round 1 would be played off stream. Darkest Hour would defeat TFG 3-0. Reality Check would defeat USA 3-0.
Loser’s Bracket Round 2
The Loser’s Bracket Round 2 would feature the same games played as in the Winner’s Bracket Round 2.
The first match of the Loser’s Bracket Round 2 saw Reality Check face off against Triggers Down in a rematch. Game 1 would be restarted due to technical difficulties, but Triggers Down was actually dominating that game. Then, Triggers Down would go on to win Games 1-3 to go 3-0 against Reality Check. Overall in the tournament, Triggers Down really went 7-1 against Reality Check eliminating them from the tournament twice.
Reality Check
The second match of the Loser’s Bracket Round 2 would be played off stream but would see TCM defeat Darkest Hour going 3-2.
Winner’s Bracket Final
The Winner’s Bracket Final would see the games played changed up. Game 1 would be Lockout Team Slayer. Game 2 would be Sanctuary Team Snipers. Game 3 would be Lockout King of the Hill. Game 4 would be Sanctuary Team Slayer. Game 5 would be Ascension Team Slayer.
The Winner’s Bracket Final would see VwS face off against Excellence. Excellence would defeat VwS 3-0. Excellence completely dominated Game 2, but Game 3 would be a very great match.
Excellence
Loser’s Bracket Round 3
The Loser’s Bracket Round 3 would feature the same games as the Winner’s Bracket Final.
In the Loser’s Bracket Round 3, Triggers Down would face off against TCM. Triggers Down would win Game 1. Game 2 would be an amazing game that ended in a tie, so it would have to be replayed. Triggers Down would win the replay of Game 2. Game 3 would also be amazing, but Triggers Down would win again to go 3-0 against TCM.
Loser’s Bracket Final
The Loser’s Bracket Final would also feature the same games as the Winner’s Bracket Final.
The Loser’s Bracket Final would see Triggers Down face VwS. VwS would win Game 1 in a very evenly matched game and would go on to win Game 2. Game 3 ended at the beginning due to technical difficulties, but VwS would also win the replay to go 3-0 against Triggers Down.

Grand Final
The Grand Final again would feature the same games as the Winner’s Bracket Final.
The Grand Final saw Excellence face VwS in a rematch. Excellence would defeat VwS in Games 1-3 to go 3-0, but Game 2 would be an amazing match that Excellence won 50 to 49 kills. Excellence would actually eliminate VwS from the tournament twice while going 6-0 against VwS.
Excellence
The all-star team Excellence consisting of IGotUrPistola, Ace, Snipedown, and StrangeSide would win the $5,000 prize. The stream would peak at over 27,000 viewers! This is only the beginning of Halo’s return to esports!
